Each of us trust in many things. Maybe you have faith in God, maybe you believe that the earth is enduring, maybe you believe that the sun will shine tomorrow morning.
You most surely have beliefs about yourself: You could believe that you are a talented performer or an excellent golfer or a lovable person. But you most surely also have negative beliefs about yourself: You could believe that you are too fat or that you do not have sufficient education to earn a lot of money or that you are not beautiful enough to find a lover. These are your Limiting Beliefs!
And we all have them! Without omissions! You just have to "listen" to your self talk going on in your head! Is it always encouraging? I bet it is not. There will often be statements like "This won't work", "I am too stupid" or "If only I were smarter".
How do Limiting Beliefs guide to Self Sabotage?
Consider it! If you really believe that you are not good-looking enough to find a lover, you will most likely end looking for one. If you really think that you are not learned enough to find a good job, you will possibly stop applying for the job you would like. This is the prime step of Self Sabotage.
It might even go further: Let's suppose you think that you are not educated enough to get the job of your dreams. And for some cause (maybe your father, some friend or "fate" opened the opportunity for you) you DO get this job. If your Limiting Belief (not being educated enough) is strong enough, you will subconsciously be driven into actions that lead to your losing this job after some time. Maybe you will make stupid mistakes (mistakes that are untypical of you), perhaps you will subconsciously provoke situations which lead to your being late at work nearly each morning, who knows!
Limiting Beliefs lead to Self Sabotage! That is a fact! This is not a nature fault, it is just the way it is! And you can just do one thing about it:
