The good news is that you can be prepared for something like this in case it ever did happen to you.
There is a little plug in for your Word Press blog that allows you to set it up so that a complete back
up of your blog is emailed to you EVERY NIGHT.
You can have this back up file emailed to a Gmail account and have a rule set so it automatically goes
into a separate folder so you never even think about it coming in or see it coming in.
How To Back Up Your Word Press Blog
Get this plug in called the Word Press Database Backup:

or you can install it directly from your Word press Dashboard.
Install it, choose to email every day, and give it an email address.
How To Restore Your Blog
1. Go to your cpanel for your site, scroll down until you find MyPhpAdmin.
2. Find the database that your blog is installed on. The backup files that are sent
to you from WP-DB-Backup will have the same name as the database that you need to recover.
3. Click on the tab that says import at the top of the new screen that just opened.
4. Click on choose file and find the backup file that you are going to use to restore your blog.
